5 Astonishing Updates from Leshomra

We've been busy lately. Boy, have we been busy doing amazing green things in charedi schools and communities!

The post-chagim period is the time when all our programs kick off for the year and we are so excited to share some of what's going on this month, thanks to our amazing donors and supporters.

Here's just small taste:

  • 1 This school year we've doubled the number of Beis Yaakov kindergartens that are running Leshomra's "Our Little Farm" - a Torah-based green education program. Thanks to cooperation from the Municipality of Jerusalem.
  • 2 The program is also continuing in 61 kindergartens in Bnei Barak and Modiin Illit - with some of the 3rd-time-round teachers now reporting that they can run the program themselves, without constant support from our team!
  • 3 In the 2017/18 school year, Our Little Farm is already running in 121 Charedi kindergartens around Israel - reaching 250 teachers and over 3,000 children!
  • 4 Last year, we ran our "Great Outdoors" and "Our Little Farm" after-school programs for 23 groups in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Elad, Telzstone and Modiin Illit. This year we're expanding to 35 groups, with over 650 kids!
  • 5 This week we launched Our Little Farm in the Belz neighborhood of Jerusalem. Though we expected to start with 2 groups, we quickly filled up 4 groups to capacity!

You're in Charge of the Next Astonishing Update

We are working on something very big and innovative. Many would say it's even impossible.

In partnership with the Zra'im Pedagogial Center, we're working on producing the first ever Torah-based green curriculum targeting the middle grades of Charedi boys schools.

We then plan to launch it in Talmud Torahs around Israel.
